Guntersville Dam Range
Description
The Blue and Gray range located near Guntersville Dam consists of covered positions for pistols at 7 yards, covered positions with benches for rifles and pistols at 25 and 50 yards and covered positions with benches for rifles at 100 and 200 yards. Additional positions at 100 and 200 that are not covered are also marked.
200 Yard Range
Center fire rifle ammunition, muzzle loading rifles and rimfire rifle ammunition only.
100 Yard Range
Center fire rifle ammunition, muzzle loading rifles and rimfire rifles only.
25 and 50 Yard Range
Center fire rifle ammunition, muzzle loading rifles and pistols, center fire pistol ammunition and rimfire ammunition only.
7 Yard Pistol Range
Center fire pistol ammunition, subsonic rifle ammunition and rimfire ammunition only.
Directions
Take Hwy 431 South from Huntsville, through Hampton Cove and New Hope. Turn right just past mile marker 311 on the Dam Road TVA Guntersville Dam. Turn left just past the TVA sign for Lock and Lake Recreation. The double yellow gate ahead is the entrance to the range.
Courtland Range
Description
In 2018, the Club purchased approximately 120 acres of land for development of new range just south of Courtland, Alabama. As of July 2022, the land has been cleared and plans are being made for construction of a new range in the future. This could take several years and therefore the range is not currently open for use.

From Decatur:
- US Alt 72 West to Courtland for 18 miles.
- Turn left (South) on State Hwy 33 for 2 miles.
- Turn right (West) on County Road 285. The road sign is well off of Hwy 33. Look for it carefully.
- Continue on 285 until the road forks. The left fork has a yellow gate and that is the site that will be the new range. The gate is not locked.
